This beautiful table matt is made in Romanian Point Lace, a very old and exquisite European lace technique. This design is sold without threads and you need DMC Cebelia cotton thread Ecru size 10 - 1.5 balls for making the braids; size 20 - 0.5 ball for needle lace stitches and a crochet hook size 1.15-1.25mm(10-9 steel USA). Or, if you want to obtain a finer lace, you can use size 20 for all crochet braids and size 30 for needle filling stitches. The package contains: reusable fabric pattern; one sharp pointed needle for basting the braids on the fabric pattern; one tapestry needle, size 24 for working the needle lace stitches; picture of the finished pattern and easy-to-follow, step-by-step illustrated instructions. The finished size of the pattern is 32 inches x 20 inches (81cm x 51cm).
